CastleRock Cairn Terriers is located in beautiful, peaceful, rural Foster, Rhode Island. We are surrounded by woods and lots of natural wildlife.

We established CastleRock in 1988 and our Cairn Terriers are primarily line bred from the best of American and British bloodlines.
We have been members of the National Club since 1988 and follow the club’s recommendations for testing of our breeding stock for genetic problems that might be present in the breed.

Rick has judged two Regional Specialty Sweepstakes and several all breed matches. He was Editor of the Cairn Terrier Club of America Newsletter for five years and served on the CTCA Board of Governors. He is currently Editor of the Housatonic Cairn Capers quarterly newsletter. Both Arlene and Rick have been officers of the local all-breed Rhode Island Kennel Club, and the Housatonic Cairn Terrier Club. Rick is licensed to judge Cairn Terriers and Scottish Terriers.

Our goal has been to breed on the average one well-planned litter per year which produces healthy pups with good temperaments for both the show ring and family companions.
